Some potentially interesting news has surfaced online for The Legend Of Zelda: Breath Of The Wild 2, which was recently delayed to Spring 2023.
This tidbit comes via Italian Zelda fansite Lega Hyrule, who sat down with Italian voice actor Pietro Ubaldi, who voices Daruk in the Italian dub for Breath Of The Wild. During their conversation Ubaldi allegedly mentioned he finished recording some dialogue for Daruk in Breath Of The Wild 2, as well as “Daruk’s ancestor”, who is “a more serious version” of Daruk. Aside from this, it appears no further information was elaborated.
Some believe that Ubaldi may have potentially leaked a crucial part of Breath Of The Wild 2‘s story, as there are few situations where an “ancestor” of Daruk could play a role. The prevailing theory is that the Link we observe in the trailer could be Link from 10,000 years ago, and the plot will either follow this ancient Link, or he could be part of flashback sequences.
That said, the above will all remain speculation until more details about Breath Of The Wild 2 are revealed. Stay tuned for more details as they come.
