Earlier this month, we reported on a rumor that Nintendo would be airing their annual June Direct on June 29th 2022, according to a claim from journalist writer and former gaming journalist Alanah Pearce.
Although Nintendo has still not confirmed this rumored direct, some new evidence has surfaced stoking the flames of speculation. According to the Nintendo UK website, the MyNintendo Store is scheduled to go down for maintenance from June 27th till June 29th, which coincidentally coincides with the rumored direct date:
Of course, while it could just be regular maintenance, many believe that this maintenance could be to prepare the store to update with games that will be revealed during the rumored direct. Nevertheless, we caution readers to take this speculation with a grain of salt, and we will be sure to report back if a direct is officially announced by Nintendo.
