It appears that the Super Mario Bros. won’t be the only ones enjoying the movie spotlight, if some recent murmurs are to be believed.
According to inside sources speaking to Giant Freakin Robot, Nintendo and animation company Illumination will apparently be continuing their partnership to develop a Donkey Kong film as well.
Reportedly, this rumored new film will also see actor Seth Rogan in the role of Donkey Kong. If this is true, that means Rogan will continue to voice the character beyond Illumination’s Super Mario Bros. movie. However, the source was not able to say if any other characters from the Super Mario Bros. movie were planned to appear in this rumored Donkey Kong film.
As with all unconfirmed information, we urge our readers to take these details with a grain of skepticism. We’ll report back if this story develops further in the future.
