Some new patents from Nintendo have been made public in the US, sparking speculation about future projects they have in the works.
As shared by MikeOdyssey, the first patent is for new adaptors for the Joy-Con 2 controller, which are meant to help make it easier to use the shoulder buttons when playing with one Joy-con. These new adaptors would magnetically attach to the Joy-cons and make the shoulder buttons more prominent and easy to press, much like a similar adapter that exists for the Switch 1 joy-cons.
The second patent has drawn a bit more interest from fans, as it appears to be related to new game battle system mechanics. Although the text is quite technical, the image used as an example bears striking resemblance to the battle interface used in the Xenoblade series, which has fans hopeful that a new entry is coming soon.
As with all speculation of this nature, we caution readers to take this with a grain of salt. Stay tuned for more updates as the come.
