[Update] Rumor: Nintendo Reportedly Reaching Out To Players To Fix Pokemon Scarlet/Violet Save Data Bug
A couple of weeks back, we reported on an extremely rare bug with Pokemon Scarlet And Violet that could corrupt players’ save data and render it unplayable.
Although the exact cause of the bug still remains unknown, it seems Nintendo may have already started taking action to help affected players. According to Serebii.net webmaster Joe Merrick, some affected players in Japan have been contacted by Nintendo’s customer support, who managed to restore the corrupted save data after it was “uploaded”.
Will keep you all apprised of anything else we learn, but you can all start to rest easy. Hopefully NOE and NOA will soon start reaching out to those who contacted about it.
The saves are salvageable if it ever happens to you.

At the time of this writing, these reports have only surfaced in Japan so far, and it is not confirmed whether Nintendo of Europe or Nintendo of America will also start following suit sometime soon. We will be sure to report back with more details as they come.
What do you think? Let us know in the comments.
[Update]: Players outside of Japan are reportedly being contacted to have their save files fixed also. If you are affected by this bug, it may be helpful to contact Nintendo customer support to see if they can help fix your data.
Getting reports of more people from outside of Japan who reported the save bug getting contacted for their saves to be restored.
Glad this is getting fixed, even though it's super rare
