While Nintendo of America hasn’t announced when Nintendo Switch 2 pre-orders would start in the US and Canada, it seems that Canadian retailers are preparing to start them on April 23, 2025.

This piece of information comes from Billbil-kun, who claims that some retailers have an April 23 start date, and that the pre-order date is subject to change. While Billbil-kun doesn’t have any information on whether pre-orders will start on April 23 in the US as well, it should probably start on the same day, considering that Nintendo doesn’t want a situation where Americans snatch up pre-orders from Canadian retailers.

The start date for pre-orders was initially delayed in both the US and Canada as Nintendo needed time to assess the impact of Liberation Day tariffs on products destined for the US market.
