Rumor: Prominent Leaker Claims Nintendo Project Codenamed “SPRed” In The Works

A prominent leaker has shared the codename of another project in the works at Nintendo, which has sparked speculation about the recently confirmed Switch successor.

The leaker in question is Midori, who is well-known for leaking SEGA-related news before it drops. Their latest claim is that a project codenamed “SPRed” is being worked on at Nintendo. Midori speculates that this could be the codename for an upcoming new Mario game, as mainline Mario titles tend to use the word “Red” in their codenames.

Following up on this, Midori also claimed that a project codenamed “SilverStar” was being worked on at Nintendo, although the status of this project is now “unknown”. Midori speculates that this project could have been related to Super Mario Odyssey, which had the codename “RedStar”.

As with all rumors of this nature, we caution readers to take them with a grain of salt. Stay tuned for more updates as they come.
