Although the Switch 2 is not even a year old, many fans have been wondering if it will receive revised versions in the future, similar to the Switch Lite and Switch OLED that were released for the original Switch.
Over on Bluesky, user dootsky shared an interesting discovery from the official Nintendo Account website. According to dootsky, the site has an unused model code under “OSM”, in line with the Switch 2’s model code “BEE”. The site shows images of each Switch model when the model code is used appropriately, and using model code “OSM” shows a Switch 2 image.
I think I've discovered something interesting, but I have no idea what it implies:On Nintendo's Account Portal, there's an unused model code under the name "OSM". (The Switch 2's model code is BEE.)The portal has images for each Switch model, and requesting OSM returns an image of a Switch 2.
Based on this evidence, it is believed that “OSM” refers to an unannounced model for the Switch 2, although Nintendo has made no such indications that such a thing is in the works. Stay tuned for more updates as they come.
