Following the rating from the South Korean ratings board, more rumored details have surfaced about Sonic Origins Plus, an unannounced updated re-release of Sonic Origins.
These latest details come via a now deleted article from Comicbook.com. This article reportedly claimed that the game is scheduled to release on June 23rd 2023, available as a $9.99 USD upgrade to the original Sonic Origins or as a complete bundle for $39.99 USD. The bundle will be available both physically and digitally. The article also listed the following additions that Sonic Origins Plus would add:
- 12 Game Gear Games Emulated and Playable in the Museum
- Classic Amy as a Playable Character in Sonic the Hedgehog 1, 2, 3, and Sonic CD
- Knuckles as a Playable Character in Sonic CD
- All Previously Released Sonic Origins DLC
- 20-Page Artbook (Physical exclusive)
- Reversible Coversheet with New, Never-Before-Seen Art (Physical exclusive)
If the report is true, it all certainly makes for a very enticing package. We’ll be sure to report back with more details as they come.
