Yesterday, Video Game Chronicle published a report detailing Nintendo’s plan to release a 35th anniversary Super Mario collection, a port of Super Mario 3D World, and a new Paper Mario game for Nintendo Switch later this year.
Now the outlet has published even more details on all three games, which are expected to be announced in June 2020.
First are the titles that will form the Super Mario 35th Anniversary Collection. The collection will include Super Mario 64, Super Mario Sunshine, and Super Mario Galaxy. VGC claimed all three games are being treated as “a special collection of games”, rather than standard ports.
Next, VGC claimed that Super Mario 3D World will be released as a deluxe edition with new levels and content for Nintendo Switch. In addition, the next Paper Mario game will return to the series roots, following past Nintendo 64 and GameCube titles much ore closely.
Last but not least, VGC also claimed that Nintendo will release more Mario games via the Nintendo Switch Online NES and SNES catalog.
