Today, we have some interesting news concerning the release date of Super Smash Bros. Ultimate’s next DLC fighter.
A 7-Eleven store in Japan has put up a poster promoting download cards for the Super Smash Bros. Ultimate Season Pass Vol. 2 – showing Min Min and 5 more mystery spots next to her. Notably, this poster is only to be displayed until 4 October 2020.
This is somewhat similar to how the DLC characters Dragon Quest Hero and Banjo-Kazooie were advertised before their official release dates were revealed thereafter. For example, the Hero’s poster was only supposed to stay up until 4 August 2019, although his DLC launched a little earlier on 31 July 2019. Meanwhile, Banjo-Kazooie’s poster was only meant to stay up until 15 September 2019, and their DLC launched on 5 September 2019.
Given past trends, it looks we could be hearing about the next Fighter Pass character before or around 4 October 2020! We’ll report back if this turns out to be the case.
