Some new rumors have surfaced about publisher Ubisoft’s plans for 2022.
The new comes via reportedly reliable leaker Tom Henderson, who claims to have spoken with “several sources with direct knowledge of Ubisoft’s plans” in his article on Xfire. According to Henderson, Ubisoft had been planning a “big showcase event” to be shown ahead of E3 before being delayed by recent world events. The publisher has a total of 20 games lined up for an announcement, although plans are always subject to change.
Aside from the usual Assassin’s Creed titles, perhaps one of the more notable potential reveals is a sequel to Immortals: Fenyx Rising. The report claims that Ubisoft was pleased with the original’s performance, and that the sequel is in the pre-production stages and hiring staff to work on the game. Aside from this, the report also states that development on Mario + Rabbids Kingdom Battle is still going smoothly, and it is on track to meet its 2022 release window.
As with all rumors of this nature, we caution readers to take them with a grain of salt. Stay tuned for more official updates and confirmations as they come.
