Yahoo! Japan Shopping, one of Japan’s biggest e-commerce platforms, has issued an advisory for customers concerning Nintendo Switch 2.
The company expects attention and traffic to increase on the platform as the Nintendo Switch 2 launches approaches, and reminds customers that Nintendo plans to produce more Nintendo Switch 2 hardware in the coming months to meet demand.
Yahoo! Japan Shopping has advised customers to closely monitor market trends and calmly make purchases, a hint to customers that they shouldn’t be buying overpriced products from scalpers.
Furthermore, the platform has also stated that it is against the Yahoo! Japan Shopping terms for sellers to offer products pre-ordered on e-commerce websites, such as Amazon Japan, and forwarding them (in terms of entering the buyer’s shipping details on said e-commerce sites) to the buyer’s address. This is against the platform terms and when discovered and infringing sellers will be punished.
