Today we have some interesting news concerning the development of Rune Factory 5 from an interview with Marvelous Games.
In the interview, Marvelous Games said development for Rune Factory 5 was unable to proceed as one of things they had to decide was which platform they would develop Rune Factory 5 for.
After it appeared that the Switch install base begin to increase rapidly, the company decided to bring Rune Factory 5 to Nintendo Switch, and thus development kicked off.
The company also briefly discussed their decision to remake Rune Factory 4 for Nintendo Switch. Marvelous Games said they wanted their most popular Rune Factory title to be introduced to a wider audience and use it as a benchmark to represent the series as a whole.
