Some preliminary excerpts from Masahiro Sakurai’s latest Famitsu column have surfaced online, revealing a few more of his thoughts on the second Fighter’s Pass for Super Smash Bros. Ultimate.
According to a rough translation, Sakurai re-affirms that the six characters in the Fighter’s Pass have already been finalized, and that they were once again chosen by Nintendo. However he also says that there are currently “no plans” to create any more content for Super Smash Bros. Ultimate after this second Fighter’s Pass, meaning that it will likely be the last of the additional content the game receives.
Even so, Sakurai was unwilling to “rule it out” completely, as neither he nor the people in charge at Nintendo know what the future may bring. We will be sure to report back should any new updates or more accurate translations from the column arise.
