Multiple Japanese video game companies have come out stating that they won’t take part in April Fool’s in 2020.
These companies include SEGA, Arc System Works, and Key, which have all tweeted that they do not have any April Fool jokes for 2020. Key elaborated that in light of the current state of affairs due to the coronavirus outbreak, it doesn’t make sense for any April Fool’s prank this year.
