SEGA has revealed a new retail edition for their smash-hit 2D Sonic game Sonic Mania, only this time featuring…less content?
According to a listing on Gamestop, SEGA is releasing a physical edition for the “Standard” version of Sonic Mania without all the DLC and extra content included in the Sonic Mania Plus retail edition. Anyone who buys this new “standard” physical edition of Sonic Mania will instead have to download the “Plus” content separately. Furthermore, it will also not include the “Plus” version’s reversible cover or art book.
As stated on the listing, this “Standard” Sonic Mania physical release will be launching on November 5th 2019. If you’re looking to pick up a physical copy of Sonic Mania for yourself after that date, you may want to be careful to check which version you’re buying.
