SEGA has announced they will be delisting their SEGA Genesis/Mega Drive Classics collection from digital storefronts.
From December 6th 2024, new players will no longer be able to purchase the collection from the Switch eshop. Players who already own the collection will still be able to play or redownload the game as usual. This only affects the collection released in the eshop, and does not affect games that were put up on the Switch Online Expansion Pack’s games catalogue.
At the time of this writing, SEGA has not offered an explanation for why they are delisting the collection. Players who have been holding out on picking it up may wish to consider getting it before its gone.
