SEGA Releases Official Sonic The Hedgehog Timeline

SEGA has released an official timeline for the Sonic The Hedgehog series.

The timeline can be found on SEGA’s official website, and provides a comprehensive breakdown of when the majority of major events in the series take place. This includes events that pre-date the first Sonic The Hedgehog game, all the way to 200 years after the the latest game in the series Sonic Frontiers. The timeline also helpfully includes the game in which each event is mentioned.

Interestingly for fans, the timeline also includes events mentioned and featured in spin-off games such as Sonic Free Riders and Sonic Shuffle, suggesting that these titles are also considered “Canon” by SEGA.
