SEGA has announced a partnership with Double Jump.Tokyo to start selling Non-Fungible Tokens (NFTs) based on SEGA’s Intellectual Property (IPs).
For those who may not be aware NFTs are used to prove ownership and authenticity of unique digital assets using blockchain technology. In recent months, NFTs have received a lot of attention as a lucrative new way to earn money from digital artwork and other assets online.
SEGA and Double Jump.Tokyo will be selling a variety of NFT content based on SEGA’s past, present and future IPs, such as classic artwork and background music used in SEGA’s games. This initiative will also be followed up by more services to help NFT owners “effectively utilize and further enjoy their NFT content.”. Both companies are expected to start selling their NFTs sometime this Summer 2021.
