Several Wayforward Game Prototypes And Source Code Surface Online Following Data Leak
Wayforward, the developers of the Shantae series, have suffered a massive data leak.
As shared by by Lance McDonald, large swaths of data from the developer has surfaced online, reportedly from a discarded hard drive. This includes prototypes and source code from many of Wayforward’s games, including from the Shantae series, as well as their licensed games such as DuckTales: Remastered, Adventure Time: Hey Ice King! Why’d You Steal Our Garbage?!! and more.

In a follow-up post, Lance McDonald claimed that the leaker will not be leaking anything regarding the upcoming Shantae Advance: Risky Revolution, the previously scrapped GBA entry that Wayforward is reviving for a Switch release later this year. Stay tuned for more updates as they come.
