30 years ago, the original Shin Megami Tensei made its official debut in Japan!
Indeed, the Shin Megami Tensei franchise is now 30 years old – marking a new decade for the long-running JRPG series which first made its debut on the Super Famicom. Since then, the franchise has continued to grow (with Shin Megami Tensei V launching on Switch recently) and has even sprouted the popular Persona series of games worldwide.
To thank fans for their support, the official Megami Tensei Twitter account shared some new 30th anniversary artwork along with a special message. Check them out below:
“The “Shin Megami Tensei” series, which began with “Shin Megami Tensei” released on October 30, 1992, has finally reached its 30th anniversary! We appreciate your continued patronage.”
