Shiny Galarian Legendary Birds Gifts Announced For Pokemon Sword/Shield 2022 International Challenge Online Competitions

The Pokemon Company has announced some special gifts for players who participate in Pokemon Sword And Shield‘s 2022 International Challenge online competitions from February to April.

Players who participate in the competitions will receive Shiny versions of Galarian Articuno, Galarian Zapdos, and Galarian Moltres. As these Pokemon are normally Shiny-locked, this is will be the first time they will be obtainable legitimately in the games. Each bird will be given away for participating in the following 2022 International Challenge online competitions:

• Shiny Galarian Articuno will be given to players who enter and battle in the 2022 International Challenge February.
  • Registration runs from February 3rd to 17th with battles from February 18th to the 20th
• Shiny Galarian Zapdos will be given to players who enter and battle in the 2022 International Challenge March.
  • Registration runs from February 24th to March 10th with battles from March 11th – 13th
• Shiny Galarian Moltres will be given to players who enter and battle in the 2022 International Challenge April.
  • Registration runs from March 31st – April 14th with battles from April 15th – 17th

In order to participate in an online competition, players will have to enter the VS option in the game, select “Battle Stadium” and then enter the “Online Competition”. At the time of this writing, further details about the competitions, such as rulesets or restricted Pokemon, have not been shared.
