Silicon Studio Stock Jumps 17% As Pokemon Let’s GO Uses Its Engine

Silicon Studio, the company that developed Bravely Default and Bravely Second, has seen its stock jump 17.72% in a single day on the Tokyo stock market.

When the stock market opened at 9am, Silicon Studio traded at 1296 yen. It closed at 1515 yen after all is said and done.

The reason behind this jump is because of Pokemon Let’s GO Pikachu/Eevee. Today it was revealed that Game Freak used Yebis 3, middleware for special effects, to create Pokemon Let’s GO Pikachu/Eevee. Silicon Studio created Yebis 3 so as there’s this connection everyone quickly bought up Silicon Studio shares, with some hoping future Pokemon games will continue to use Yebis 3.
