For several years now, fans have been eagerly awaiting the release of Silksong, the sequel to Team Cherry’s highly acclaimed Hollow Knight.
The wait has been so agonizing that fans have been latching on to any shred of evidence that the game might be releasing soon. In a recent post from XBox, Hollow Knight: Silksong was mentioned as an “incredible” upcoming game in its indie lineup, adding more fuel to the dwindling hope that the game might be close to release.
Looking ahead, our lineup is incredible with upcoming games like Clair Obscur: Expedition 33, Descenders Next, and FBC: Firebreak to play across the whole Xbox universe… and of course Hollow Knight: Silksong too!
The last significant update shared by developer Team Cherry was back in January 2025, when PR head Matthew ‘Leth’ Griffin reassured fans that the game was “real, progressing and will release”.
