Earlier this month, Slime Rancher: Plortable Edition made its debut on Nintendo Switch – and introduced Switch owners to the joys of adorable slime wrangling. Well, it looks like the Switch release of the title was also quite the joyful occasion for its developer!
Nick Popovich, Monomi Park co-founder/CEO and game director, revealed recently that the game’s Switch launch ended up being “the best day in its sales history“. This is especially remarkable given that that the game has already been out for nearly 6 years on other platforms, as stated by Popovich:
While we don’t have specific sales figures, this news only seems to further reinforce the Switch’s uncanny ability to boost indie game sales – as was the case with titles such as Moonlighter and Celeste previously.
