Smash Bros. Ultimate Tops Fortnite on Twitch After Its Release

A second Nintendo game has topped Fortnite from its first place position in less than a month.

Smash Bros. Ultimate has reached over 170,000 viewers on Twitch on the night of its release. This surpasses Fortnite’s 130,026 viewers and marks the second time in less than a month where a Nintendo title has done this.

Pokemon Let’s Go Pikachu/Eevee! achieved this as well three weeks ago as it came out on November 16th.

Smash Bros. has also received more attention tonight due to the Game Awards where it was announced that Persona 5’s Joker will be joining the fighters roster.
