On April 24, 2025, brick-and-mortar and online retailers across Japan started taking pre-orders for Nintendo Switch 2 hardware, software, and accessories.
While most accessories are still readily available for pre-order, it seems that a couple of accessories have sold out. These include the Nintendo Switch 2 Pro Controller and officially licensed microSD Express Cards for Nintendo Switch 2.
Japanese Nintendo fans are now scrambling to find ways of getting a Nintendo Switch 2 Pro Controller, which seems to be the hottest accessory at this point of time. The demand for microSD Express Cards also shouldn’t come as a surprise as they are the only type of memory card that can be used on Nintendo Switch 2.
Product rankings from retailers such as Yodobashi Camera and Rakuten Books indicate that the Nintendo Switch 2 carrying case with screen protector, Nintendo Switch 2 Camera, and Joy-Con 2 Charging Grip are selling well, and could be next in line to sell out.
