Snake Voice Actor Angry At EVO For Unofficially Using His Voice For Snake To Promote Tekken

During the Tekken EVO 2019 grand finals, a Snake cameo video was played as a joke which mislead fans in to believing that it was a teaser for Snake coming to Tekken as a playable character.

Check it out below:

This understandably caused major backlash from fans which caused EVO to respond with the following:

Just to clear things up, the Snake cameo video that we showed during Tekken finals was our idea of a little joke. It was not intended to imply a character reveal, and was done on our own, without consulting Bandai Namco. Sorry for any confusion!

After this response, many fans were still upset at EVO’s reasoning for doing this without permission from Konami or Bandai Namco with the voice actor for Snake himself even commenting on this.

Check out what he said below:

EVO, You also failed to consult me, or Konami. Please do not use my voice to promote other games. Ever.
