Snake’s Voice Actor Has Not Recorded New Codec Calls For Super Smash Bros. Ultimate

Fans of Solid Snake in Super Smash Bros. Ultimate may have to brace for some disappointment.

Back in Super Smash Bros. Brawl (2008), Snake had the hidden ability to start codec calls and talk about other fighters like Kirby and Mario.

However, Snake’s voice actor David Hayter recently revealed that he has not recorded new codec calls for his character. Check out the snippet below from Fan Expo Boston 2018 (starts at 23:05).

While this is a little disappointing, David also mentioned that he is willing record new lines if contacted to do so. Let’s hope Nintendo and Smash Bros. producer Masahiro Sakurai can surprise us in the months to come.
