8 days after the SNES Classic Edition launched in the world, Russian hacker ClusterM has successfully ripped open the system.
Last year, by making use of the NES Classic’s FEL-mode exploit, ClusterM created a program called hakchi, which lets players easily add any NES games that they want by connecting the NES Classic to their PC.
A new program called hakchi2, which now supports adding new features and SNES ROMs to the SNES Classic Edition, has been released. While most NES games worked when dumped onto the NES Classic, the SNES Classic needs a bit more work, as not every SNES game is emulated properly. By installing the RetroArch emulation core, this could be easily solved.
