Media Create has published the latest Japanese video game sales data for the period of September 3 to September 9, 2018.
Nippon Ichi Software’s SNK HEROINES: Tag Team Frenzy launched on Nintendo Switch and PS4 worldwide last week. It did not do well on either platform – the PS4 version debuted No. 7 on the bestseller charts, moving 10,018 copies at launch, while the Switch version came in at No. 13 with 5,493 copies sold. Really poor performance, but it’s expected due to the subpar reviews it received.
Meanwhile, evergreen Nintendo Switch titles such as Minecraft (No. 4, 14,752), Splatoon 2 (No. 5, 14,398) and Mario Kart 8 Deluxe (No. 6, 11,877) continue to dominate the charts on a weekly basis. Hardware sales for Nintendo Switch are at 59.5% market share with 43,513 units moved.
