It seems that Nintendo brought in some interesting talent for help with their new 2D Zelda crossover title.
According to a Tweet from Sonic Mania art director Tom Fry, at least two pixel artists from the Sonic Mania dev team worked on Cadence of Hyrule. The two artists were Midio and Paul Veer, who Fry congratulated for their work on Cadence of Hyrule in his tweet.
Nintendo’s decision to bring in Sonic Mania’s artists for this game shouldn’t be too surprising. After all, Sonic’s latest 2D outing has been very well received by fans, no doubt due to its gorgeous pixel work. We look forward to seeing more of Midio & Veer’s work when Cadence Of Hyrule eventually launches this Spring 2019.
