Around an hour ago, ESRB, which provides official ratings for all video game software in the United States, released a rating for Sonic Mania on Nintendo Switch.
Sonic Mania previously released in August 2017 on the Nintendo eShop and had a Collector’s Edition release. However, the Collector’s Edition release featured a download code, so there’s no way to get the game on a physical game cart at this point of time.
ESRB clarified that as the game is getting a physical release for Nintendo Switch on a game cart, the game has been provided an official rating. We’ll keep you updated once we know when it’s gonna launch.
