Over the last few days the Games Done Quick (AGDQ) event has been taking place on Twitch. AGDQ is a charity fundraising event that raises money for charity via speedrunning where fans donate money in.
The event is so popular that it caused the old DS game Sonic Rush (that was being speedrunned through) to overtake Fortnite’s number one spot in views on the Twitch categories board!
Take a look at this tweet about it below:
The game notably does not have more viewers than Fortnite did at the time but was likely at the top due to how many viewers the stream gained in a short amount of time but it sadly did not last that long in the leader board.
This was quite surprising due to Sonic Rush being a DS game from 2005! However the reason it was at the very top was only because of the charity event.
