Sonic The Hedgehog Twitter Shares Thank-You Video Containing A Hidden Message

Recently, the official Sonic The Hedgehog Twitter account shared a short video thanking Sonic-fans for their continued support throughout 2019.

However, it turns out this was no ordinary thank you video, as Sonic PR Head Aaron Webber hinted that a secret message had been hidden somewhere within it. Naturally, fans quickly set to work uncovering the hidden message, which they managed to piece together as follows:

It began in 2015
A glimmer of a flame
Growing with each success
Enduring every challenge
Within this, my last puzzle
Remember the words
Ignis aurum probat [Latin for ‘Fire tests gold’]
This next chapter belongs to you

Although the true meaning behind the message is still unclear, many fans believe it could be a hint about the next major title in the Sonic series. We will be sure to bring further updates as they come.

What do you think? Let us know in the comments.
