Sony Has No Plans To Make A Competitor To Nintendo Switch

Sony has confirmed that they currently have no plans to make a device that will compete with Nintendo Switch.

According to Bloomberg Japan, Sony Interactive Entertainment CEO Andrew House confirmed they do not have plans to build a device that is similar to Nintendo Switch.

“The Nintendo Switch is a hybrid device, thus it has a completely different strategy from the PlayStation,” House said. “We are focusing our attention on making products that can be played in the living room. We do not see big potential in the handheld market.”

  • ok. They are just jealous. I have PS4, PS3, and Nintendo Switch. They should make a new portable one because i would buy it too!

  • Sony is afraid of the mobile business since the Vita failed. What could have been fixed with simple hardware changes such as micro usb and micro sd cards, will be left for dead.
