Planning to download Splatoon 2 on your Nintendo Switch? You’ll be pleased to know it doesn’t take up a lot of space. The UK eShop has put up a listing for the game, revealing that it only needs 3.1GB of space.
By today’s standards, 3.1GB for a full fledged console game is a really small size, and we really wonder how Nintendo managed to pull it off.
Other than the file size, another interesting point to take note of is the game’s language support. Doing a quick scan shows that the Japanese language is absent from the list.
This means Splatoon 2 would become the first Nintendo Switch game published by Nintendo not to support Japanese in all major regions. The Legend of Zelda: Breath of the Wild, Mario Kart 8 Deluxe, ARMS, and 1-2 Switch all support Japanese, even if you purchase an American or European copy of the game.
As for the Japanese copy of Splatoon 2, it only supports Japanese, which is another anomaly since other Nintendo published Switch titles in Japan supported English and other languages too. The reason for this strange arrangement is unclear.
