We all know Japanese gamers are crazy over Splatoon 2, but how does this excitement translate into pre-order numbers for the game?
A game retailer chain called Comgnet may have the key to that answer. According to Comgnet, they are approaching nearly 800 copies pre-ordered for the physical copy of Splatoon 2. For the small chain, it’s a very impressive number, and this could be an indication other larger retailers are seeing a similar high uptake of pre-orders for the game.
With just 18 days left, Splatoon 2 could very well become the best-selling Nintendo Switch game of the year in Japan. The question lies in how big of an impact it’ll make on launch day, which we will find out later this month!
