Splatoon 2 Save Data Bonuses For Splatoon 3 Detailed

Nintendo has confirmed that players who own Splatoon 2 will receive some special bonuses for Splatoon 3 when the latter game launches next month.

As detailed on the official website, players with save data from Splatoon 2 will receive some special benefits in Splatoon 3. This includes a set of three Gold Sheldon Licenses to redeem for main weapons of the player’s choosing, as well as the ability to carry over progress from Ranked Mode to some extent.

Using this feature will require a save data transfer from Splatoon 2 to Splatoon 3, which can only be done once per Nintendo Account, and only on the same system and Nintendo Account where the Splatoon 2 save is located.

A full breakdown of the bonuses can be found below:

  • Receive three Gold Sheldon Licenses that you can exchange for main weapons, regardless of player level
  • Join Anarchy Battles from the beginning of the game, regardless of player level
  • Start the game with a higher rank, depending on your rank in Splatoon 2
  • Get matched against players with similar skill levels from Splatoon 2
