The Splatoon 2 Starter Edition, launching in North America on March 16, will only have a one time production run. This was confirmed through two different sources.
This is no surprise as The Legend of Zelda: Breath of the Wild Explorer’s Edition had a single production run in multiple regions last year, and Nintendo has no intentions of reprinting that either. Same goes for the elusive Bayonetta Non-Stop Climax Edition.
The Splatoon 2 Starter Edition comes with a copy of the game, stickers, and a guidebook, all for USD59.99. That’s the same price as a copy of Splatoon 2 in the market now. It’s best to pre-order a copy before it disappears forever.
