Splatoon 2 tracks the number of assists and specials during every match

In the latest update by the official Splatoon 2 Twitter account, it was revealed that the number of assists and specials used by players will be recorded during every match.

If you defeat a member of the enemy team who defeated a member of your team, an “Assist” icon will be shown on the map and screen.

Once the battle is over, the total number of assists and specials performed by every player can be seen on the results screen.
