Dragon Quest X, a very popular MMORPG in Japan, has been surviving on multiple platforms from the Wii to Nintendo Switch.
Currently, Dragon Quest X is only available in Japan. While Square Enix has expressed some form of interest in bringing it outside Japan, it may turn out differently from how it’s like in its current form.
Yosuke Saito, ex-producer of Dragon Quest X, said in an interview that Square Enix could consider making an offline version of the game, and it’s not impossible to do so.
When asked about bringing the offline version to the west, Dragon Quest executive producer Yu Miyakae said, “Dragon Quest Xhas plenty of rich stories, and I want to make something to share it with others, including those overseas.”
