Earlier this year, publisher Asypr surprised Star Wars fans everywhere by releasing Star Wars Jedi Knight II: Jedi Outcast on Switch, with plans to follow up with Star Wars Jedi Knight: Jedi Academy in 2020.
While both these announcements are very exciting, it seems Asypr has a few more surprises in store for the hybrid console. Speaking to GameIndustry.biz, Aspyr vice president of publishing Elizabeth Howard revealed that these two Star Wars games were but the first in “so much more” announcements they have planned.
The reception to the Star Wars games… it just blows our mind. These are just our first two announcements and we have so much more coming. I just think that it’s a good time to start telling the world about us, that we’ve been doing this a long time, and we’re doing everything we can to deliver on these games.
Given the context of the statement, some believe that Aspyr may be planning to port more classic Star Wars games to the Switch, although they have also worked on Call of Duty and Civilization in the past. We will be sure to report back once Aspyr has released more detailed information about their future launches on Switch.
