It appears that some store employees in the United States have secretly sold Nintendo Switch 2 systems to family and friends ahead of the official launch.
A Facebook product listing showing what appears to be three Nintendo Switch 2 Mario Kart World sets for USD825. According to a Redditor who contacted the seller, the seller’s friend sold two consoles to them before the June 5 release date at the retail level. This means that there’s potentially two people who might not get their consoles on day one.
It’s unclear how the friend managed to do this without getting caught.
