Story of Seasons: Pioneers of Olive Town launches February 25, 2021 for Switch in Japan and March 23 in North America and Europe.
Marvelous has released another batch of new info about the upcoming Story of Seasons: Pioneers Of Olive Town.
This latest batch of info includes details about many of the game’s features such as crafting, seasons, exploration, and town development. It also introduces several of the town’s resident NPCs, who the player can interact and give gifts to.

Build, Live, and Enjoy Your Farm Life
While we have introduced the basic elements of farm building in the past, this time we will introduce the heightened freedom of farm building through the new “crafting” system, as well as how you will pass the time on the farm and in Olive Town.
Crafting
Use Materials to Craft
You can craft using materials obtained through pioneering and farm life such as wood, grass, flowers, and stone. Although there are only a few things that can be made using materials as is, you can craft a wider range of things by using the “maker” to process materials.
Create all sorts of things to decorate your farm!
Seasons and Discovery
Seasons
Just like in the real world, your farm in the game will experiences four seasons. In addition to being able to see the scenery of each season, you will also be able to discover crops that you can only find during that season.
Visit Various Places
If you come across an entrance of a cave, you may find a “mine” that lets you obtain ores you have never seen before. You may also be able to visit “special places” such as volcanos and above the sky while you explore and deepen your friendship with the Colopon.
Off to Olive Town
In Olive Town, which is the town next to your farm, you can meet its various unique residents. By frequenting the town, you can catch a glimpse of thes residents’ daily lives. And by talking to the townspeople often and giving them gifts, you may start to see a different side of them.
Develop the Town
Olive Town is a harbor town with little to no tourism. However, by hearing out the mayor and residents’ requests, the town will gradually develop. With your help, turn the city into a popular tourist destination with new shops and attractions.
Enjoy Events
Time will pass in Olive Town in the same way the four seasons visit the farm. Events will occasionally be held across the town. Depending on the event, you may even have the opportunity to get closer to your favorite resident…
Go Shopping
Olive Town is a small town, but has various shops where you can find nearly everything you need for your farm life. While there may only be a small lineup of products at first, as you ship your stock from the farm, the shops’ assortments will improve.
