Following the leaked voice actor list for Super Mario Bros. Wonder, we now have confirmation for the new voice actor that will be voicing Mario and Luigi in the game.
The new voice actor is none other than Kevin Afghani, a Los Angeles-based voice actor who has provided voice work for Dragon Ball and Genshin Impact. Afghani was previously identified as one of the potential candidates from the leaked voice actor list, but was initially overlooked by fans thinking he was voicing the talking flowers as opposed to the plumber brothers. Afghani revealed his involvement on social media, as seen in the post below:
Afghani will be stepping in to fill the role of Mario and Luigi after their longtime voice actor Charles Martinet stepped down earlier this year. At the time of this writing however, it is not known whether Afghani will become Mario and Luigi’s permanent voice actor for future games, as Martinet served. Stay tuned for more updates as they come.
