In the long list of determined people, Super Mario Maker level creator ChainChompBraden definitely deserves a place in it. Having started his monster of a work a year and a half ago and spent over 1500 hours trying to defeat it, he is still determined to carry on. That is right, even he himself has yet to defeat it.
When asked by Waypoint to comment on the “Trials of Death”, ChainChompBraden has this to say:
“When I began, I knew this would be a long journey, but even I wasn’t expecting it to turn into this long of a grind.”
He even added,
“I’m always seeing people say that it’s never going to happen, and that the whole thing is just hopeless. That’s just an extra exciting reason for me to beat this level.”
Talk about determination. You can see a trailer for the Trials of Death below and read more about this determined individual on Waypoint’s article here. The level is so crazy that even I lose track of Mario’s position a few times throughout the level. We wish ChainChompBraden best of luck in completing his level and hope that all the speedrunners in the world will one day get to try to beat his 1500 hours and counting quick record.
