It looks like Bandai Namco’s decision to release Super Robot Wars T overseas has paid off in gold-plated spades.
The massive crossover RPG is apparently doing very well outside Japan, according to Producer Takanobu Terada. In particular, the lead developer mentioned the following tidbits:
- Super Robot Wars T’s Asian versions are selling more than the Japanese version
- Taiwan, Hong Kong, and South Korea are where the game is selling the most in Asia
- Super Robot Wars T is the biggest overseas success in the franchise’s history
This is all pretty amazing news to hear! Hopefully we can expect future Super Robot Wars titles to go worldwide as well!
