Last year, Super Seducer producer Richard La Ruina had revealed that both Super Seducer and Super Seducer 2 ports were in development for Nintendo Switch. Well, we have unfortunate news for folks that were hoping to experience these saucy titles on the go.
In a recent update on Twitter, Richard La Ruina revealed that Nintendo has refused the games’ release on Nintendo Switch – citing that both titles contained “particularly explicit content” which became apparent to the company during lotcheck testing. As such, Super Seducer and Super Seducer 2 will not hitting the Switch eShop as planned, despite being ported for Nintendo Switch already.
Richard La Ruina has added that he does not blame Nintendo for the refusal, since significant controversy already surrounds both games.
Nintendo of Japan had previously stated that it would not enforce censorship on third-party titles for Nintendo Switch. In this case, however, it looks like Super Seducer and Super Seducer 2 might have been too saucy for the company to consider altogether.
Given these circumstances, it also seems unlikely that Richard La Ruina’s Super Seducer 3 will hit Nintendo Switch as initially planned. Just earlier this year, Super Seducer 3 was refused for sale on Steam – likely due to violating the platform’s recent policy stating that games should contain “no sexually explicit Images of real people”.
As it stands, folks looking to experience the Super Seducer series will not be seeing its games on Nintendo Switch anytime soon. We’ll report back if this situation changes in the future.
